Easy Sunday

The lady says I'm her little turkey

It's been a really nice holiday these last five days. We're somewhat sad it's about to come to an end. We enjoyed blogging a little more this last week. Did any of you or your humans do Black Friday shopping? Aside from the market where the lady goes several times a week, she only went shopping at PetSmart. They had some great deals before noon on food and litter. She's a smart lady sometimes.

We hope you have an enjoyable Sunday and a good week!

Happy Thanksgiving!

We wish our U.S. friends a happy Thanksgiving. (We wish our non-U.S. friends a blessed day.) We're thankful for all our friends!

Hopefully, later, we'll get a big plate of pumpkin pie with whipped cream, hold the pumpkin pie.

Thank you to Brian and his family for hosting the Thankful Thursday Blog Hop

Pondering

Hi! I'm just thinking about stuff. Like, since tomorrow is Thanksgiving, there should be an abundance of treats. I don't really like turkey, but I love treats. Also, I've been extra hungry lately, so why isn't my food dish always full?

Tomorrow will be a quiet Thanksgiving with just the four of us. What do you have planned?

My Visit to Tabby's Place Continued

Last Saturday, I visited Tabby's Place, a cage-free sanctuary for cats rescued from hopeless situations. If you missed my first post and are interested, click here to see it. I would like to emphasize that at Tabby's Place the kitties are very well cared for and loved. The volunteers and staff are very nice. No kitty is turned away, whether due to age, illness, or handicap. I'm sorry that I don't know everyone's name.

There are several patios where the kitties can safely enjoy the lovely view and fresh air. This is Carrot.

The day was rainy and cool so there weren't many cats on the patios.

The kitties can come and go as they please during the day using enclosed overhead walkways. These ramps go up to little doors at the top to go back inside.

This is Valencia.

This is Anka. He's paraplegic and is from Istanbul, Turkey. He was in a cage because he gets overwhelmed by other cats. They're working with him on that.

Operations:

There is also a quarantine room where kitties that first arrive stay for a while. They have a hospital, hospice, and an area for FIV+ cats.

This is Steven (I think).

This is a video of him being silly.

I decided to pose with this cute gray kitty. I think his name is Greyson. He was very friendly, which may or may not have to do with all the turkey treats I was holding.

This is Olive. Her back legs are paralyzed. She's so cute the way she scoots around on her bum.

This is a very small glimpse of their memorial garden.

I look forward to returning!

My Visit to Tabby's Place

I am taking over Annie's blog to happily report on my visit to Tabby's Place in New Jersey. Tabby's place is a cage-free sanctuary for cats. Their residents primarily come from public shelters where they once were once scheduled for euthanasia. Yesterday, they had a Thanksgiving with Cats event.

These are just some of the things we bought to bring to the kitties (Pierrot not included).

They had containers of turkey and turkey baby food so we could give the kitties treats while on our tour of the facility.

There were treats for the humans too.

It's a wonderful place. There are kitties free roaming everywhere. It's a "cage-free sanctuary."

This is Pixie. Pixie's legs are paralyzed.

They put her in her window box next.

For those of you that know Lola and Lexy, their mommy sponsors Rosie, who is a darling!

This is Leah. She loves the sink!

This was a delightful day. I can't wait to go back! I have more pictures and plan on doing a second post soon.

Meow You're Talking!

We won a give away on Dezi and Raena's blog, Deziz World! It's a Chewy Meow You're Talking Goody Box. We have always wanted to try one of the kitty subscription boxes and now we have that chance! As you can see, the box is chock full of fun goodies.

I was being uncooperative when it came to picture taking. What can I say? I'm a kitty! Therefore, my picture isn't with any of the goodies but is one of my classic poses. I'm no less thankful, however, for all these toys and treats.

Pierrot and I are blessed to have these new toys, catnip and treats!

Hooray for Friday!

Some news from my week:

The mouse seems to have left. The big guy thinks the mouse decided living with two humans and two cats was not a good option for him.

The lady put flannel sheets on the bed. This makes Pierrot happy. He has been spending his days in the bed hogging up the big sun puddle.

The lady gave us treats last night. It had been a long time! She walks around the living room and I follow her chirping. Then she quickly hides one and I get it. We've been doing it this way for a long time. Pierrot doesn't understand so she just gives his treats to him.
